Movie review: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

If you haven't seen the movie yet or want to avoid SPOILERS stop reading right here. If you don't know anything about this movie... Please go see it! It's absolutely beautiful.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a book written by Stephen Chbosky who is also the director of this movie. The story is about Charlie (Logan Lerman) who's been in a lot of trouble, especially physically. In this movie/book he goes to high school and makes his first friends. And of course a lot of stuff happens.

As this is going to be a movie review I'm not going to tell you everything about the book. As it's definitely a recommendation as well. Everything is being written from Charlie's point of view and is very inspiring and beautiful. A must read if you'd ask me!

On to the movie. This movie will make you laugh, cry and feel infinite? Maybe?
Well I absolutely loved it, definitely one of my favorites of this year. I was so curious about Emma Watson's first big performance after Harry Potter. And she did an absolute amazing job as Sam. The same for Logan Lerman, he was the perfect Charlie. The awkward and very adorable to look at Charlie. Ezra Miller as Patrick, amazing! I can't say anything bad about the actors as I thought they were all just like the book described.

My favorite scenes?
THE ENDING. Is the first thing I would say, beautiful, heartbreaking and... well beautiful! I cried my eyes out, as did the two friends I went with. Not because of sadness but because of all the emotions in this scene. It was beautiful which definitely made me tear up. A lot.

Another scene I really loved was the scene where Sam and Charlie kiss for the first time. The dialogue and emotions in this scene are so tense and untouched, especially from Charlie's side.

This is not really a fun scene. But the scene Charlie totally looses everything because Sam, Patrick and all his other friends left for collega. You finally discover what's been bugging him the entire time and what happened before.

The way this movie builds up friendship and break it down is amazing. It gives me the feeling I had while reading the book and while I was afraid they might screw that. They didn't, it was everything I could've hoped for and will recommend everyone to watch this beautiful movie!

I'll leave you guys with these two beautiful quotes:
“We accept the love we think we deserve.” and "I swear at that moment.. We were infinite."
