Crazy things I did in life #2

And the crazy things I did in life is back! Another story about something I did. This one is going to be about more then one event. It's about conventions, and with that I don't mean book, holiday or business conventions. I mean conventions you go to because you're a fan of something. You might've heard about Comic Con? Well that's one of them. I've been to a few, and I'll tell you about it here.
First.. I've been to four conventions:
- Twilight NL Con (I was a volunteer at this event, Nieuwegein, the Netherlands)
- Asylum 7 (Birmingham, UK)
- Asylum Europe 3 (Bad Wildungen, Germany)
- RingCon (Bonn, Germany)
And LeakyCon (London, UK) is to come in August 2013.

Similar events:
- Elf Fantasy Fair (I went to the Utrecht, Haarzuilens editions 4 times, twice to Arcen, so 6 in total, both in the Netherlands)
- Entertainment & Media Show (London, UK)
- Collectormania 18 (London, UK)

Crazy things I did in life #1

I think it's fair to say that I'm quite impulsive. And if it's not that I'm probably crazy. But I did some unusual things.. Especially in the last few 3 years. So I thought I would make this a recurring blogpost.
Most of these things will have to do with my love for movies, fantasy and travel. I absolutely love going on trips like this and don't mind spending my money on it, as I never regretted doing it.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - worldpremiere
This is actually quite of a funny story. And the end of it.. Me and two friends went to the Narnia worldpremiere in London. And no, not to see the movie, just to be a fan waiting for the actors. Crazy? Yes. But so much fun!

Video: Christmas of the nerds

Some of you might already seen this video on my Twitter. But as I told you on my previous Nerdmas post, I made a video. Like I do every year. (this was the 3rd year) I'll get back to the vlogs really soon and think I'll make a shoplog somewhere this week. But this is more of an 'atmosphere' feeling video. We had such a good time, and I love celebrating Christmas with my friends every year. And it's not to late to send some Christmas vibes around right?

What do you guys think? Do you celebrate Christmas with friends?

Jobs?

Guess what? I've got a new job! I've been working next to school for almost half of my life now. (and yes, I'm 20 years old) But as I've always been wanting to do a lot, my parents said at the age of 13.. 'If you want to go to a concert, you'll have to earn money yourself.' Because no, they'll not pay for every concert I'll want to go too. And that is why I started working as a dishwasher at the age of 13. And since then, I've always been having a job.

I've had serving jobs, I've been a shop assistant, I'm still a web developer and just left my job as a desktop publisher. What will I do now? I've had an interview last week and got a call yesterday, 'you're hired!'
I'm hired at the photo department in the Media Markt, and as I'll start my photography course from September on. This will come in very handy for lenses and my knowledge of the technique. I'm quite excited and can't wait to start after my weekend in London.

Why I need to earn money you'd ask? If you've been following my blog you might have seen that I do A LOT. Sometimes I think it's to much for my own good. But I'm able to go on holidays, visit conventions, go to concerts, buy a lot of books and DVD's, do clothing shopping and take care of myself. And let's not forget my boyfriend who lives in London, whom I really want to see once every month. Now I have to admit that my parents are financially stable and able to help me in a lot of ways. But I'm glad I have the freedom to do this much and still make school.

I love spending money on my hobby's and spend time with friends, family and my boyfriend. And this is why I work.

Rock Werchter

Sorry for not blogging in a few days. But my boyfriend is here at the moment and I want to spend every minute I can with him. As I only see him once a month. But there will be no blogging until Monday. As I'll be on Rock Werchter the entire weekend. I'm absolutely excited, especially about Mumford & Sons, Pearl Jam and hanging out with all my friends and boyfriend.
Have a lovely weekend all of you, and I'll see you on Monday!
