Crazy things I did in life #4

Did you guys ever hear about fanfiction? No? According to Wikipedia fanfiction is a broadly-defined fan labor term for stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator. Works of fan fiction are rarely commissioned or authorized by the original work's owner, creator, or publisher; also, they are almost never professionally published.
So basically fan fiction is a story you write.. About a story which already exists. A story within a story, a story of which you're a fan. I think fan fiction must've started somewhere in the 60's, around the release of the first Star Trek. There this website called fanfiction.net, a place where fans share their stories. And from the age 13 tot 20, I've been writing fanfictions. So if you're curious.. Check it out and look up if there's some fan fiction about a show or movie you've watched. (take a look at the rating before you start reading tho, there's some crazy stuff going around there!)

Crazy things I did in life #3

Number 3! This one will be about my experience at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 premiere in London. Because me and a group of, approxiamate, 10 other Dutch (and Belgian) people went there. Took a plane and decided to sleep on Trafalger Square just because we wanted to make a good end to our Harry Potter experience.

July 6th 2011. Our flight is about to leave somewhere early in the morning. With a group of six good friends we're getting a flight to London Stansted, to get the bus right after that and run of to Trafalgar Square. Because no not that exact evening but the day evening the day after.. The last ever Harry Potter premiere will be happening. The very very last. Bye bye childhood. And we know we're not going to be the only ones camping out.

Crazy things I did in life #2

And the crazy things I did in life is back! Another story about something I did. This one is going to be about more then one event. It's about conventions, and with that I don't mean book, holiday or business conventions. I mean conventions you go to because you're a fan of something. You might've heard about Comic Con? Well that's one of them. I've been to a few, and I'll tell you about it here.
First.. I've been to four conventions:
- Twilight NL Con (I was a volunteer at this event, Nieuwegein, the Netherlands)
- Asylum 7 (Birmingham, UK)
- Asylum Europe 3 (Bad Wildungen, Germany)
- RingCon (Bonn, Germany)
And LeakyCon (London, UK) is to come in August 2013.

Similar events:
- Elf Fantasy Fair (I went to the Utrecht, Haarzuilens editions 4 times, twice to Arcen, so 6 in total, both in the Netherlands)
- Entertainment & Media Show (London, UK)
- Collectormania 18 (London, UK)

Crazy things I did in life #1

I think it's fair to say that I'm quite impulsive. And if it's not that I'm probably crazy. But I did some unusual things.. Especially in the last few 3 years. So I thought I would make this a recurring blogpost.
Most of these things will have to do with my love for movies, fantasy and travel. I absolutely love going on trips like this and don't mind spending my money on it, as I never regretted doing it.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - worldpremiere
This is actually quite of a funny story. And the end of it.. Me and two friends went to the Narnia worldpremiere in London. And no, not to see the movie, just to be a fan waiting for the actors. Crazy? Yes. But so much fun!
